Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Team Lead to join our finance team within our global shared service center. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding receivables, maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in collection processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of AR collections, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the AR collections team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor and analyze collection metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment plans with customers as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounting and Billing, to resolve collection-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and development to team members.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the collections function.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and present reports on collection performance and trends to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AR collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of AR processes and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
